A visitor visa is meant to allow the entry of a foreign resident inside the country for the purpose of trade & tourism. A temporary resident visa or visitor visa in Canada does not permit an individual to work. Visitor Visa Application Filing Process
- Applicant has to submit an application for a visitor visa in the Canadian embassy.
- He/she will be called to attend an interview where the purpose of visit is verified.
- He/she should be willing to return to the home country when the visa expires.
- He/she should have sufficient funds to support their stay in Canada.
- After the details are verified and the applicant meets the criteria, a visitor visa is issued.
Document Requirements
- A photocopy of passport page having all the necessary details such as photo, name, address, date and place of birth.
- The passport needs to have a blank page apart from the last page for the issuance of the visa.
- Two photos should be submitted as per the visa specifications.
- Documents showing that you will be able to support yourself financially.
- Photocopy of marriage certificate, if accompanied by the spouse.
- Detailed purpose of travel or visiting Canada.
